Unveiling of the life-size statue of the Angel of Goliad

To all Descendants of Francisca Alvarez (the Angel of Goliad).

A life size statue of our Great Ancestor will be unveiled in Goliad, Texas on Sunday, March 28,2004 at the Presidio La Bahia Fort in Goliad. The Memorial Service will start at 10:00 AM in the chapel inside the fort.

A Direct Descendant will be doing the 2^nd annual laying of the wreath in memory of the Angel during that Memorial Service.

A donation to the wreath will be appreciated as we each must contribute a little of ourselves to this service. We will be in some more planning stages of a Non-Profit Memorial Fund for the Angel for future services, family reunions, a web page, etc. We plan to do the annually laying of the wreath by a direct descendant of the Angel.

Looking forward to seeing some or all of the Descendants of the Angel in Goliad. I will be sending more information as I get it. Be thinking about ideas for a patch, web page, t-shirts, caps, fund-raising projects, a Descendant of the Angel Reunion, etc.

Since there are so many Descendants of the Angel, you will have to tell your family members of this event.
