Unveiling of the life-size statue of the Angel of Goliad

To all Descendants of Francisca Alvarez (the Angel of Goliad)

Please be advised that a bank account has been opened under "Angel of Goliad Memorial Fund". Make all your checks to Angel of Goliad. Some of our Descendants have asked me to reserve some badges for them. Becky will be in charge of selling all badges. If you wish to reserve some, please contact her and send her the money. Here phone number is 210-404-1292 and her e-mail is becky102842@hotmail.com.Please specify how many Direct Descendants (gold badges) or Honorary Descendants (silver badges) you want. She also wants the names of the persons who will be wearing them.

The start of the Memorial Service has been changed to Sunday, March 28th @ 11:30 am in the chapel. We will leave there and go in procession to the Angel of Goliad Plaza for the unveiling services. The procession will then continue to the Fannin Monument for the conclusion of the Memorial Service.

We only have a limited amount of gold Direct Descendants Badges and a limited amount of silver Honorary Badges this year. It will be first come, first serve. We hope to take orders for next year. We just don't know how many are going to attend the unveiling. I know Bert Alvarez is trying to get R.S.V.P. by March 14th. If you have not R.S.V.P., do it now. Again, since there are so many Descendants of the Angel, you will have to tell your family members of this event.
